All Bunnyz, All the Time

This is all about our Cafepress LairShop, All Bunnyz, All the Time, and its resident denizen, a rather intense Bunny with large eyes and scary teeth. You'll notice that, like the infamous Experience Music Project Museum, there are few if any right angles in his design. He now can be found on teeshirts, sweats, coffee mugs, mousepads and, most outlandishly, on boxers and thongs.

My dad produced this image circa 2002, on a primitive prototype of MS Paint, or something similar; and emailed it to me, daring me to try to produce little kids' teeshirts or something with it in a Cafepress shop. Personally, I figured he might be a bit intimidating for the younger set, seeing as the huge eyes and bared teeth resembled the features of an animal giving warning signals to a predator or other enemy, just prior to taking one of its limbs off. But I decided to give the Bunny a chance, perhaps as a goth/punk cult figure or such like. So I used this original image, and created derivative images on Photoshop with black and white backgrounds, and uploaded them to a new shop. All Bunnyz, All the Time is the dubious result of this collaboration. The rest, as they say, is...er, yet to be determined.

STANDARD DISCLAIMER: This lens, and the source LairShop, is (if you haven't figured out already) strictly about Silly Humor. I'm not actually trying to make anyone scared of rabbits. Chinchillas, now--I'm not so sure about them. I tried petting the tail of a chinchilla one time; and that little bugger spun himself around in approximately two nanoseconds, and sank his teeth into my right index finger! Nowadays, I only pet chinchillas with the eraser end of a pencil, or something similar that won't bleed if chewed on...

SPECIAL NOTE (Tuesday, March 3, 2009): My dad, Tom Olsen, also known as The Artist Who Produced the Bunny, passed away after a long illness on Sunday, March 1, 2009. A physicist and superconductor researcher, digital art was not exactly his forte, as you can probably tell. However, I will keep the All Bunnyz online shop running and updated for the foreseeable future, because... well, because the Bunny refuses to go away.
