The Story Of Two Brothers With Different Concepts In Life
Once upon a time, there were two brothers named Richard and Raymond who lived in a small shanty together with their loving mother and their abusive father. All day long, the father does nothing except to be a nuisance, not only to his family, but to other people as well. Everything that is sinful in this world, you can almost see them in him. He's a thief, a drunkard, a troublemaker, a frequent visitor in their local police station, a pickpocket, a holdup man, a malicious dirty old man and all those sort of stuff. One day, the father was caught red-handed selling prohibited drugs on the street and was even linked to a murder case which happened two weeks ago. Now, he's languishing in jail and this is the only time that the wife have let out a sigh of relief.
Now, the two brothers have different thoughts running through their minds because of what had happened. The elder one, Richard, who is now 22 years old, thought to himself: "Hey, if father was a troublemaker, then, I want to be like him and I want to show the world how he showed me all the bad things inside of him then, everybody will think that he's the baddest person in the world and they can see that in me. So, he did what his father had done and in just six months' time, he ended up like his father- in jail.
On the other hand, the younger one, Raymond, aged 20, also thought about what their father had done to them, to their mother and their community. And he pondered on this thought: "Father was never a good person but I'll prove to everybody that I'm far different from him."
So, he did the exact opposite of what his father and his brother had done. He studied hard. He enrolled himself in a night class and in the morning, he worked part-time as a construction worker. He finished college with flying colors and he found himself a nice steady job.
Years went by and Raymond became the top executive in the company he's working in and now, he has a beautiful family and they're living in a big house and he sent his kids to the best schools and his wife has her own business and it is steadily flourishing.
A neighbor became interested in these two brothers, having known them since childhood. This neighbor first went to the city jail and asked some questions to Richard and the final question he asked was: "What made you destroy your life?"

Richard answered, "Because of my father."
After that, the neighbor went straight to Raymond's extravagant mansion and talked to Raymond, asking the same set of questions he asked to Richard in a conversational manner and when the right time came, he asked Raymond, "Raymond, what inspired you to be what you are right now? How did you become very successful in life?"
Raymond answered back, "Because of my father".
