All My Children

The show began in January 5, 1970. I will have to see if I can dig up some of the earlier videos.

The early days centered around three families... the Tylers, the Kanes and the Martins. The Kanes and the Martins are still the main characters of the show.

All My Children was one of the few "Soaps" that was vocal about the Vietnam War.

Seeing that I've been watching this show since the seventies, I have spotted a lot of gorgeous men over the years. I will add more as they come to mind.

1. Colin Egglesfield (Josh Madden) the most gorgeous eyes. *Unfortunately he is gone :(

2. Thorsten Kaye ( Zach Slater ) because he is just drop dead gorgeous... the tall silent type. *we have lost him too :(

3. Cameron Mathison(Ryan Lavery). Partly because he's a Canuck and partly because he's such a gorgeous dancer. Not bad on the eyes either.

4. Aiden Turner (Aidan Devane)Just have to love the accent which might be one reason why I married a Brit. *Yup, we have lost his as well.

5. Walt Willey (Jackson Montgomery) definitely gorgeous especially as a blond. *We lost him over the summer, but looking forward to his return this fall.

6. JR Martinez... definitely gorgeous and the man sure can dance!!

7. Vincent Irizarry... because of those eyes... they just smolder!

1. Eileen Herlie... she plays Myrtle and has been on the show for over 30 years. One gorgeous lady and a former Carnie to boot.

2. Jill Larson... you just have to love Opal.

3. Leven Rambin as Lily Montgomery AND Ava Benton, Lily's half-sister. I just don't know how she can be TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CHARACTERS. That has to be amazingly tough.

4. Susan Lucci... who got the part that I wanted. ;) I should have been Erica, but she hasn't done a half bad job. ;) I was too young at the time they were casting. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

5. Ambyr Childers did an amazing job playing Colby Chandler. I'm sorry to see her replaced.

1. Jake's name was originally Joey Martin, but he decided to give himself a new name... Jake and it stuck. I think that I will try that. When everyone comes home tonight, I'm going to tell them that my new name is... Alexa sounds good. ;)

2. Person I most miss... David Hayward (Vincent Irazarry). He was the show's perfect bad boy and big time gorgeous. They brought him back twice. Maybe 3's a charm??

3. I still remember Brooke from when she was a teenager. She was about a rebellious as they come and made poor little Devon Shepard's life... hell.
