There are speculations and research indicating that anti-perspirants and deodorants contain cancer causing ingredients. It is easy to understand how this is possible as anti-perspirant prevent you from sweating, by clogging your pores. The deodorant companies are obviously defending themselves by stating that this is all a myth and that anti-perspirants do not lead to cancer. Well after all they do have alot at stake if such a statement is true. Deodorant and Anti-perspirants are big business. It is quite understandable that people want to smell fresh and not have sweat stains coming through their clothes. It is possible to control body odor and sweat without subjecting yourself to the dangerous chemicals found in most commercialized anti-perspirants.

The Poison In Anti-Perspirants

Anti-perspirants contain aluminum. Aluminum has been linked to causing Alzhiemers disease and breast cancer. When you shave your underarms and then apply anti-perspirant you are exposing your body to the aluminum which is leaking through the broken skin and travelling through the lymphatic and nervous system. The aluminum works to inhibit the growth of bacteria which causes body odor. Anti-perspirants also contain toxic chemicals such as parabens. When a person uses anti-perspirant, they are clogging their pores. In order to release toxins in the body, the body needs to sweat. Sweating also helps the body cool down. If these toxins have nowhere to go, then they build up in your system and invade healthy cells, causing your immune system to break down. Deodorant is better than anti-perspirant in one way which is that it will reduce body odor without clogging the pores. Deodorant however still has many toxic chemicals.

The Cause Of Body Odor

People pick up toxins from air, food, household and beauty products. The body gives off the odor as a way of ridding itself of waste products. When there are imbalances in the metabolism, strong odors will result. Your diet has alot to do with the way you smell. Foods that can cause body odor are red meat, highly processed and refined foods, eggs, and strong smelling foods such as onions, garlic and spices (ie:curry). It is important to do a good cleansing of the body with a detox program such as a colon cleanse, parasite cleanse, candida cleanse, or liver flush. You can find out what products are good for detoxifying your body from your local health food store. Once you cleanse the toxic waste out of your system you should not have any problems with body odor.

If you are suffering from something like hyperhidrosis ( excessive sweating) there are natural remedies that can eliminate this problem.

The fact that they're still putting all the harmful chemicals in deodorant scares me, the first time I heard of this I switched right over to a natural deodorant. I see no point in going back either, the deodorant I'm using now works like a dream.
