Although the team consistently losses, there have been some exceptions. Almost invariably when Charlie Brown is not playing that's when the team triumphs.

In one instance the team won two games in a row but it was only by forfeit- the other team didn't show up. The shining moment for good ol' Charlie Brown came in the strip dated 3/30/93 when he hit his first-ever homerun! Then again in 6/29/93 he hit another homerun! Charlie Brown brought victory to his team on both occasions! Later we find out that the pitcher of the other team, Royanne Hobbs, let him hit the homeruns because she thought he looked cute standing at the plate.
