AllVoices Writers Unite

The Poll has ended.

My fellow AllVoices writer,

I've been writing for AllVoices for a year now. Recently, I've seen changes in AllVoices that have affected writers.

While many write for the love of it, I am referring to those who write to earn extra cash.

Some have voiced their grievances through their reports. It is a concern as AllVoices used to be an opportunity for ordinary writers.

It would be unprofessional as "journalists" to speculate or comment on these issues without knowing all the facts.

The purpose of this poll is to gather facts about AllVoices. Facts based on the experiences of AllVoices writers themselves. All questions require specific answers, with no room for subjectivity.

I hope that the findings of this survey, which ends on 30 June 2011, will offer existing AllVoices writers and potential writers, a real insight into the income opportunity that AllVoices offers, if any.

Please answer the questions truthfully and not try to influence the results in any way. In order for the results to be meaningful, please invite as many of your fans in AllVoices to participate in this survey.

payment schemes changed, delayed payment... that's what i encountered... actually, i also felt that the visit stats dropped quite dramatically, unlike before...

I have been with allvoices for more than a year already. I did not expect I could earn bigger amounts compared to my employment salary, it made me happy. but that was last year. Payment scheme now has changed, sadly. Unlike before, this year, you can't predict your income that much. you don't know how allvoices rates credibility, revenue factor and even reputation. they give tips on how to increase reputation, etc.,but still it is not clear. you exert everything and follow their rules, still, no increase.

not so sure how page views being calculated, but i felt that i don't get the exact figures

I'm naturally inquisitive and suspecious. Especially of any "survey" that asks for your usename and PW on another site. Soooo, we'll use the "visitor" slot and submit. As for Allvoices, I enjoy their site and it has been a great exposure for my work.

Joined in March 2010, started seriously writing only this year, but somewhere I feel I get much more page views then is projected. Don't have proof, but I know very well in other websites I get huge page views whereas here even if my reports are on landing page, the number of views is not up to the mark except in few cases.

I feel that the page views are manipulated and do not entirely show the true statistics. How come Allvoices "encourage" plagiarism, porns, spammers, hoax stories? In what direction is Allvoices going--money-making from substandard stories or credible news source?

I totally agree with your views and analysis. People who capable of writing news and being at the level of anchor wouldn't have to visit Allvoices news for more than 10 times to figure this out.
