Alternative cancer treatment is the use of natural therapies that do no harm to the body along with custom diet and lifestyle changes made to produce an environment, which promotes health instead of disease. The American Cancer Society defines cancer as a group of diseases characterized by uncontrolled growth and spread of abnormal cells, but this is not accurate. Cancer is the interaction between the stem cells and the environment. In all of the standard cancer approaches and treatments, standard medical treatment is ignoring the environment, which communicates and governs the actions of these cells. The stem cell is one of the human body's master cells, with the ability to grow into any one of the body's more than 200 cell types. All cells in the body begin as stem cells. They become other types of cells when they are given signals from the body. These signals tell the cells how to divide to become the cells, like skin cells and nerve cells. A better definition of cancer would be this: Cancer is the interaction between abnormal cells and their natural environment that results in uncontrolled cellular growth.

If you take tumor cells from one mouse and inject them into another mouse it does not form the same disease and does not metastasize. This is because it is a different environment. This is with a mouse so you can image the difference in environments in human beings with the mind and emotions setting the stage for the health of the physical body. Cancer is the interaction between these mutated stem cells, which then interact with the natural environment. Cell signaling or communication is constantly going on between the bone marrow, platelets, white blood cells and the cancer cells so when you put these cancer cells into another mouse that cell signaling does is completely different.

An important fact to understand is chemotherapy kill rate or tumor shrinkage does not affect the cancer stem cells but only the cancer non-stems cells so the cancer will just grow back and with a vengeance. Chemotherapy breeds resistance to the chemotherapy in the cancer stem cell. This resistance is called multiple drug resistance or MDR. In 96-98% of cancers, chemotherapy does not eliminate the disease. The vast majority of cancers, such as breast, colon, and lung cancers are barely touched by chemotherapy. Typically, an anticancer drug is found to cause a "response," which is defined as a 50% or greater shrinkage of measurable tumors for one month or more. But shrinking tumors is not the same as extending lives. Shrinkages of tumors with chemotherapy are not shown to increase median overall survival. Chemotherapy suppresses your immune system. Tumor shrinkage has absolutely no correlation with the cure of cancer and the extension of life, according to Dr. Ralph Moss, author of "Questioning Chemotherapy". Studies confirm that some women with breast cancer who receive chemotherapy (in addition to surgery and radiation) have a 28 times greater chance of developing leukemia (cancer of the blood) than those who avoid such drugs.

So what is the answer? Alternative cancer treatment that includes restoring the normal physical and mental and emotional environment that God created the body to work in, and when this is achieved, then the body does what God designed it to do, it heals naturally.

• Biochemical includes oxygen levels, pH, electrolyte balance, and water quantity along with the proper levels of all the essential nutrients.

The mental/emotional environment includes short term acute stress or traumatic shocks along with long term chronic stress.
