Alternative Veterinary Medicine

Alternative veterinary medicine is , to me, the best care for your four-legged companion(s).

In this lens I'll tell you how you can get personally involved with taking care of your pooch, or kitty at home. This will not only save you a bundle of money but keep your pets healthier and happier.

As a matter of fact my cat's trips to the Veterinary clinic have been reduced remarkably.

Alternative Veterinary Medicine Keeps our Pets Healthier and Happier.

when we first got our Siamese cat, Diablo, about three years ago, he was 9 years old and had some dental problems. We took him to our local veterinary clinic.
He was mising one upper fang and the other one was apparently impacted. I don 't know what the procedure of his dental treatment was but it cost us a whopping $ 750.--

Not treasuring the idea of having to spend hundreds of dollars for a Veterinarian I went online and started looking for some alternative choices. And lo and behold, didn't I find a treasure. I found the perfect Alternative Veterinary Medicine And I can personally get involved and learned how to massage and do acupressure.

I'm not saying we never have to go and see the Veterinarian again. But it sure is possible to do a lot of treatment yourself with natural products such as herbs etc.

Diablo is happy and I am happy. He's 12 years old, very active, eats well and has stayed the same weight for the past three years.

"Do our Pets really need a Rabies Shot every Year?
A vaccine probably protects them for a longer time"

Alternative Veterinary Medicine and its View on Vaccines

It's really very doubtful that the Rabies shot has to be a yearly event.

A lot of vaccinations humans get will protect us for much longer than a year. Take for instance the Small pox vaccination, or a Tetanus shot.

The yearly booster shot for our pets might be more harmful than helpful. For some animals the side effects can be really serious.

More and more pets seem to be getting cancer at a much younger age than they used to. The vaccines seem to play quite a role in this.
This is the view of Alternative Veterinary Medicine spokespeople.

Of course it really is our own decision to have our pet vaccinated every year or not. Because Diablo had quite a reaction to the shot this year i am not planning on exposing him to this for the next two years at a minimum.

If you travel abroad and take your pet with you it makes things different. At the border you would have to show proof of vaccination.

It cost us $ 96.- this year just for his vaccine. It's not just a rabies shot but a combination of several drugs for different diseases.
Nobody can force you to have your pet vaccinated yearly.

It just adds more money in the pockets of the pharmaceutical companies and the veterinarians. Not that I begrudge the veterinarians making money. I just don't want to expose my cat to disastrous side effects.

I can find any information and treatment in my Alternative Veterinary
Medecine
book

Alternative Veterinary Medicine vs Conventional Veterinary Medicine

I like to know how other people handle their pets' health concerns.

If you lean towards alternative care you need to really look into Alternative Veterinary medicine

Alternatyive veterinary Medicine and its View on Dog Food

For thousands of years cats and dogs hunted for their own food and ate natural, healthy things. Of course, since they became real pets they have been fed by their owners. In the beginning the food they were given was still pretty healthy.

In the last 3 or 4 decades the quality of pet food has taken a tumble. Too many byproducts, too many preservatives, artificial flavors and colors. And don't forget the gluten.

Our pets' health depends on their diet. The same way we depend on our diet for staying healthy. It seems our health and our pets' health are going downhill at an alarming speed.

All those artificial ingredients in pet foods can cause food allergies and our pets become sick. They will not eat well and become weak. Their immune system will not work properly when they don't get the right nutrition or not enough nutrition. That leaves them open to all sorts of diseases and conditions.

I have used my Alternative Veterinary Medicine book with real positive results.

Diablo has a tendency of being constipated. His trips to the litter box can be quite dramatic and very vocal. I went into my book, found constipation and you'll never believe what one of the solutions was. Canned pumpkin , a tbsp. twice a day. He's not crazy about the pumpkin but golly...it's working. Heaven knows what the Vet in town would have given him. I bet with the fee for the visit + whatever medication it might have been close to, or over $ 60- And what does a can of pumpkin cost??
I don't know because hubby does all the shopping.

All I can say is that I recommend this book to anyone who is trying to keep his/her pet healthy and happy. And yes, Dr. Jones will also tell you in what cases you really do have to see a Veterinarian, even one that practices conventional medicine.

He combines the best elements of both alternative and conventional veterinary medicine.
