Alternatives to Expensive Homes

Ah, the joys of owning your own home. Of course, owning a home comes with a very large price tag in many cases. Maintenance, energy costs, and property taxes are all things that most people would like to reduce. However, there are alternatives to expensive housing. In this article, I will discuss three of these alternatives.

Do you really need a large home? If you're tired of buying large houses, or you just want to save money, tiny houses could be for you. These houses come in a variety of sizes and shapes. Tiny houses can be really small, but they don't have to be. There are a variety of floor plans for the buyer to choose from, so I'm sure there's one that fits your needs.

Tiny houses range in price, depending on the size you choose from and how far it needs to be shipped. Usually, the price tag(minus shipping) seems to be under fifty thousand dollars for most models. Due to the small size of a tiny home, you will also save money on maintenance and electricity. That's always nice to know.

Another alternative to traditional housing is the dome home. Like tiny houses, the dome home is also cheaper than most traditional houses. The dome home also boasts lower energy costs because of it's unique design. Unlike the tiny house, if you want a larger home minus the cost then the dome home could be for you.
