Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked Soundtrack

Mark Mothersbaugh is the scorer for the latest chipmunks movie, Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked. Prior to this assignment, musician, singer, composer and painter Mothersbaugh has written the score for numerous TV shows, video games, animated films and movies including Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999), The Royal Tenenbaums (2001), A Guy Thing (2003) and How To Eat Fried Worms (2006). Most if not all the TV series and movies Mothersbaugh have worked on are either comedies or adventure comedies which make him the perfect music composer for Alvin and the Chipmunks.
The film's official soundtrack album however does not include Mothersbaugh's original score. Instead it features the Chipmunks and Chipettes' cover of various songs, which includes Lady Gaga's Bad Romance and Born This Way. The album is available on Amazon and iTunes.

The vacationing Chipmunks and Chipettes are turning a luxury cruise liner into their personal playground, until they become 'chipwrecked' on a remote island. The 'Munks and Chipettes sing and dance on the island and try various schemes to find their way home but the harder they try, the more obvious it becomes that they are not alone on the secluded island paradise.
