Always A Bridesmaid

Being asked to be a bridesmaid is an exciting thing. The first time, that is. But after your tenth friend calls and asks you to be a bridesmaid again and to stand up for her at her nuptials, you might feel a little less thrilled. Especially if you yourself have yet to tie the knot. If you decline, you risk having your wedding invitation "lost in the mail" and if you accept you will get to go to lots of parties, eat lots of cake and drink champagne as you toast to her wedded bliss. There are two kinds of girls - those who love being in weddings and those who don't. Much of it depends on how close you are to the bride-to-be, how much cash you can afford to drop and how much room you have in your closet for another dress that you'll likely never wear again. Being a bridesmaid for a special friend or relative can be wonderful and create memories for a lifetime. However, if you get asked to be a bridesmaid for someone you don't feel particularly connected with, you can and should decline the prestigious invitation - graciously, of course.
