Am I having a Panic Attack?

Anxiety Attack? You are not alone!
I felt my heart pounding in my chest. I would feel like I was outside of myself. Almost as if I was in a bubble observing the people around me. All I could hear was the pounding of my heart. I could see his lips moving but couldn't concentrate on what he was saying to me. I was almost as if I was deaf. I would sweat and feel light headed. But the pounding in my heart was the worse. After a panic attack often my chest bone would ache. Almost as if it was bruised. I would have an incredible feeling of overwhelm. I felt totally out of control and full of fear.
If you have been under a lot of stress and are having some of the symptoms on this page, you are probably suffering from panic attacks. Especially if it happens several times.

I'm having a Panic attack. What can I do right now to make it stop?
- Lay on your back and breath slowly through your nose. Breath with your stomach not your chest.
- Try taking a walk or moderate exercise.
- Keep a journal and write out your fears and how you are feeling. Or talk to someone about how you are feeling. It helps to get it out.
- Learn to meditate. Meditation helps to clear out the chatter in your brain.

- I have used Panic Away and found it very helpful. I rarely have panic attacks now and when I do they are quite mild compared to what I use to suffer. I recommend Panic Away for anyone that suffers from panic attacks.

- I have successfully overcome panic attacks. Surprisingly when I used to have them I felt ashamed that others would know. I thought I wad dying. My husband would hold on to my hand and reassure me that everything was OK. God, those were horrible myself and days. I got over them without medication. Prayers and looking at myself (observing my thoughts) and letting go were what helped.
