Mean girl, dead friend and singing bride
I first saw Amanda in flashbacks as the dead friend, Lily Kane, on the first season of Veronica Mars. Since then, she's popped up in several other places that I noticed, like Mean Girls and House. Her big-eyed sex appeal often has her playing the sex kitten when she isn't playing the dumb blonde.
All of which made her role as Sophie in the new movie Mamma Mia! such a refreshing change. We get to see warmth, intelligence and charm, traits she doesn't get to display too often.
Amanda Seyfried: What's New With Her?
Amanda and the rest of the Mamma Mia! cast were nominated for favorite movie cast in the People's Choice Awards.Moviefone's list of the 25 Hottest Stars Under 25 is out and Amanda's on the list for the first time.
Amanda has just signed to star in Dear John, based on a Nicholas Sparks books. Bring a hanky! No word on release date as yet.
Amanda was just featured in the July issue of Vanity Fair as one of the brightest young stars of Hollywood. She graces the cover with Blake Lively, Kristen Steward and Emma Roberts.
