Who is Amanda Beard

US swimmer Amanda Beard has won seven Olympic medals, swimming in three Olympic Games (1996, 2000, 2004) and plans to continue training to compete in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

In 1996 and at the age of 14 years, Amanda Beard won her first Olympic gold medal in the Medley relay to become the second youngest US swimmer in history to win an Olympic gold medal.

Amanda was again Olympic Champion in 2004 in Athens, winning the 200m breaststroke.

While Amanda's feats in the pool have been outstanding Amanda has also excelled outside of the pool, particularly in modeling.  Amanda has featured in many magazines including FHM, Maxim and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition and in 2004 was the most downloaded female athlete on the Internet.
