Yes, Amazon has reduced the price on the Kindle 2 eBook reader from $499 to only $259 which is way more affordable for most people. Note that this is for the U.S. Kindle coverage, the U.S. and International Kindle will be priced $279 and is released in October 19th. So, yes the Kindle DX is bigger and has a few more features than the Amazon Kindle 2, but you will still have an awesome wireless reader and save some hard-earned cash.
