The Amazon Kindle was launched in the United States in November, 2007. It is an e-book device. It uses an electronic paper display, downloads content over a wireless cell-phone EVDO network. The Kindle can be used as a stand alone device without a computer. The network is accessible through Kindle for free. There are currently Kindle Store had more than 110,000 digital titles available for download.The Amazon Kindle sold out in five and a half hours. It sells for $359 at Amazon.com.
