Learn how to become a top reviewer at Amazon.
When you first go to Amazon you probably are looking for something you are thinking of buying. You will very quickly notice that many items have reviews written about them and that these reviews can be very helpful in choosing whether or not to buy that item. You may also observe that some reviewers at Amazon have little tickets next their name saying "Top 1000 Reviewer", "Top 500 Reviewer", "Top 100 Reviewer", "Top 50 Reviewer" or even the prestigious "#1 Reviewer". Reviewers obtain those titles because Amazon has a voting system and the more helpful votes a reviewer has the higher he or she is in the list of reviewers.
Becoming an Amazon reviewer is very easy and can be done with your main account. There is a "Create your own Review" button just above the Reviews section with every product for sale, and you can write reviews while logged into your own purchasing account.
It's important to remember that you should only write reviews of items you have. It's no good saying how much you like some item or how much you hate it without having some good hard facts to back up your statement. While reviewing any item you can say what you liked about it and what you didn't. Tell people what you think its good points are and if you think there's something that they might not like about that item, talk about that as well.

Getting started with reviewing
- If you haven't already got an Amazon account, go to www.amazon.com and click on the Start Here link right at the top of the page to sign up. Sign in to your account.
- Search for something you have and would like to review.
- When you're on the page for that item, scroll down until you see the "Create your own Review" button.
- Now write your review. Be sure to save it to your hard drive as well by copying and pasting it into your text editor so that should anything go wrong you still have the review. Follow the instructions in the online form.
- To find all your reviews in one place you can go to your Profile. Click on the "Your Amazon.com" link at the very top of every Amazon page. The word "Your" will be replaced by your name (mine is Gillian's Amazon.com). Then look for the "Your Profile" link in the 4th line down. You can see all the things you have done on Amazon listed on that page.
- You should take time to set up your Profile page. You can adjust permissions for just about everything by clicking on the Edit links. Remember that the whole world can see your Profile so set it so that different groups of people can see what you want them to see. Then check this out by using the drop down list just below the "view page as seen by" text on the right hand side of the page.
- Keep writing! One review won't make you a Top 100 reviewer - but 100 or more likely 500 may. It doesn't happen at once and it can be quite dispiriting at first because there are well over 100,000 reviewers in the reviewer list - but you'll soon climb as you keep writing and getting votes for your reviews.

Good info. I never thought about using Amazon reviews as a springboard to making money.

I'm an author and a book reviewer. I post my reviews on the Weekend Reader. Once a review is replaced with a new review, I post it on Amazon. Even before I started with Squidoo, I posted reviews. They're fun to write even if I don't get paid for them.
5 Stars and a lensroll to The Weekend Reader

Though I'll probably not write any reviews for Amazon, you provided a good presentation :)

Hey what a cool lens. I had never thought about writing amazon reviews before even though they are extremely helpful to buyers. 5*s from me for an interesting read.
