    Hey Cap,
    Amazing lens, As a fellow Christian/veteran/independent thinker I share a lot of the same views you atoll, The servicemen an working men of this country are doing a lot of hard work to maintain freedoms of the what Mario Puzo(Godfather author) calls Pezzovante who don't see the truth about what is done by little guys and try to mainpulate our government through pen,ink and finance deals that are devastating as any other invasion check out my lens www.squidoo.com/themoderate2 for more on how I feel.

    Well said. One thing that I think really needs to be explained further is, "the separation between church and state"...too many times I hear people say that God, the Ten Commandments, etc...should not be allowed in public places - least of all public schools and courthouses. I think this is outrageous. People do not seem to understand the difference. Maybe you could speak with further detail on this topic. It amazes me that people who come to this country seeking religious freedom and those who were born here who rally against God and religion make such a stink if my beliefs fly in the face of theirs. If they want to stand under the banner of religious freedom that our consitution provides then they should be aware that I'm standing under that same banner and IN GOD WE TRUST, the ten commandments and the Nativity scenes must be allowed in public places. Isn't that what freedom of religion is supposed to grant and that government will not dictate what religion should be followed?

    I appreciate the passion by the author of this page, passion for our country and also for what it really stands for. I was inspired and proud to be an American, being reminded of all the good our countrymen have promoted and secured around the world. I hope the God will continue to "Bless America" and also the husband and father of two who shared his thoughts via this lens.
