Obama and McCain American Idol Campaign For Elections '08
Idol has taken Americans and made their vote count so, why not elect the next President of the United States of America the way the USA wants it!
It's Democracy at its best. Every American can vote, every voice can be heard. Who better to moderate than Simon Cowell, Ryan Seacrest, Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson, come on....what better Reality Program could we ask for!
Political commercials that say the same old thing, debates that don't answer the same old questions. This is America, let's do it the American way once and for all.
VOTING FOR THE NEXT AMERICAN IDOL PRESIDENT
Each contestant (presidential candidate) will be assigned their own toll-free number and text message short code number during the performance show. To vote, simply watch American Idol on FOX each week (see local listings for dates/times in your area) and dial the telephone number of the contestant for whom you wish to vote. Or you can text the word 'VOTE' to the 4 digit short code numbers promoted for each contestant. And now you CAN VOTE ONLINE!
If you are registered to vote in the Elections you are registered to vote on "Idol". No polling places, no rushing home from work, no ridiculous ballots that don't work and mess up the whole Presidential election, come on let's get into the new century!
Voting will open at the end of each performance show. The lines will NOT be open before that.
THE SERIES FINALE WILL BE HELD ON ELECTION DAY WHEN THE FINAL VOTES FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES WILL BE TABULATED AND ANNOUNCED BY RYAN SEACREST.

John McCain and Barack Obama on American Idol Election Day Special Series
Election Day Campaign Costs
It's estimated that the cost of campaigning for President of the United States 2008 elections will cost each candidate at least $100,000,000, yes one hundred million dollars, and all the campaign costs from primary to Election Day will exceed one billion dollars!! Hey America, what is going on here.America is at it's worst economic crisis with foreclosures, financial institution and insurance bailouts in the billions of dollars and the guys who are going to save us from all of the mess with the economy are spending a billion bucks to have a shot at it?
Time to re-think Election Day and how we vote for President and Vice President of the United States.
John McCain Said Our Economy Is Strong
When McCain said our economy is strong Barack Obama supporters beat him up with a negative backlash about that statement. Was he so wrong? Are we living in dirt poor huts? Where is our economy strong - that's what we should be looking at.The money is in Hollywood! Billions of dollars in bailouts have nothing on our economic reality. The same time the financial crisis was on the forefront of CNN, FOX news, ABC, Reuters and the front page of AOL so was Brooke Shields wearing a gown that cost $8,000. Her whole outfit would have paid off a mortgage in Kansas. You didn't hear any of the Hollywood stars, producers and their family members whining about an economic crisis, so maybe we need to let our stars shine the way the media does it and stop spending all that money on the Presidential race.
So You Want To Be President Of The United States.....
Do the candidates, I mean contestants have what it takes, let's find out!John McCain spent five years as a POW and I have to say that makes him pretty tough. Sarah Palin lives in Alaska for heavens sakes (wink, wink) and can take down a moose, cook it for dinner and has too many kids so I'm gonna say she's pretty tough too.
Barack Obama served as a community organizer in Chicago's pretty harsh neighborhoods and had his own burdens of dealing with his black and white heritage, a father from Kenya who blew him off and so for him to get to where he's at, I'll say he has some tough going for him too.
Joe Biden has suffered terrible losses and I'm not even going to joke about how tough that had to be for him so he's got the "tough" going too.
BUT are the candidates tough enough to give their blah blah blah speech and have Simon Cowell interrupt them with "Please, that was absolutely dreadful"
Could they take it - do we care? Maybe America wants to see their presidential candidates have to win us over with some reality judges making them do it real.
CNN, MSNBC, FOX NEWS OR THE ET FOR ELECTIONS NEWS
The News wires, channels and online websites are hot and keep the McCain Palin and Obama Biden hottest news up to date. Too newsy though. Too many experts who used to be something, do something or know something. They have already made up their minds so I think they are reporting it how they want you to see it. Same things over and over.We want the real news! Roll out that red carpet and start the interviews.
How about Entertainmet Tonight, ET news for the Elections. These reporters get all the news, all the details and they don't leave anything out.
They cover and investigate all about American Idol, don't you think they would do a stunning job for the Presidential Candidate series. They will really give you the dirt, the fashion, what they really mean and what to expect next. Behind the scenes at campaign headquarters live, where else can you get that?
Presidential Debates
Have you been watching the debates? President and VP debates that are supposed to be answering our questions, giving us the information we need to make the right decision on Election Day.I mean really, is it so different than a song and a dance on American Idol? Some of the answers are, well good. And some, not so good. And when the answer is not really an answer or just a repeat of the same old chant wouldn't it be awesome to hear Simon say:
"Did you really believe you could become the next American Idol President with that answer? Well, then you're deaf but guess what Americans are not."
Wouldn't it be great to hear the real stuff after answers to questions about healthcare and the economy go unanswered like:
"I like you, but this is not the career path for you."
John McCain and Barack Obama
Republican vs Democrat in our Election Day 2008 special reality TV edition of American Idol.
FORGET THE DEBATES, THEY DON'T REALLY SAY ANYTHING YOU CAN BELIEVE OR UNDERSTAND ANYWAY!! Who has the talent? Who has the experience? Who will freak out and fall off the stage?
It's your country Americans, it should be your choice for President and you should have a panel of judges that is allowed to be just the way you love them - rude, critical, talent bashing and in their faces.

Campaign Contributions Supporting America!
Campaign Donations
"Idol" will be handling the campaign contributions from now on! They've got the Hollywood bucks and they know how to spend it. Big companies, investors and the general public who donate to their favored candidate and those who want to be remembered when McCain or Obama win still make their donations but now, the campaign bucks go to help solving an American issue of your choice and it will help balance our budget instead of buying campaign buttons, tv commercial advertising and travel costs for the candidates.Whether you donate $10 or $100,000.00 to the campaign your money will mean something now! Money donated can count as points towards the voting results at the finale of "Idol" when all the votes are counted. Say for every $1,000.00 donated the candidate gains another percentage point when all the votes are tallied.
This means in the future you don't need to have millions of dollars available to run for President. It means you don't have to kiss up to oil companies and insurance companies. And it does away with fraud and evil pointing fingers of who accepted donations from who.
And every dollar goes where you want it to! Since your donating the money to help the USA, it's also TAX DEDUCTIBLE! A tax break just for helping fellow Americans, helping the financial crisis and exercising your privilege of choosing your President.
Imagine one billion dollars in campaign contributions going to healthcare for the poor, clean energy technology, the war in Iraq or Education!

John McCain Is A Maverick

But here's my question America.......does anybody know what that means!

Dancing With The Stars Election Day Campaign!
Reality TV Meets Obama, Biden and McCain Palin
Isn't the next President of the United States supposed to be our peer, working for us as one of the "We The People"? And isn't one of the greatest attractions of these shows the way we get to know the characters as the series goes on, starting out as strangers and ending up as people we really learn about as the story unfolds.
Is there any story out there that should be more based on reality than our economy and financial crisis, war in Iraq, Education for our children or healthcare?
I say let's take all the song and dance, competitions and everyday situations and see who comes out the "Survivor"!

Hottest Political News Shows
The hottest political news spots and most watched politics is right on national TV. No, its not CNN, MSNBC or Fox News, its right where the people really want to see it.The View, David Letterman, Saturday Night Live, Rachel Ray, Ellen DeGeneres, The Daily Show With John Stewart and if you are Barack Obama, the Oprah Winfrey show.
Oprah has said she will not have Sarah Palin or John McCain on the show. Hey it's her show and I guess she can have who she wants but isn't there some responsibility to the American public and what about all those WOMEN in America who she appealed to in order to get to where she's at. She can't even break down and say how do you do to Sarah Palin?
And it's good for you to watch them on those shows too because let's say you don't vote for McCain but he wins, at least you can say "Well I didn't vote for McCain but his ribs recipe from the Rachel Ray show was delicious, he can't be all that bad!"
And if you are a guest on the VIEW especially name McCain and you can get even a word in edgewise, you already deserve some votes! Sorry ladies, but sometimes you have to let one person at a time talk so we can hear what you are saying!

- I do think elections should be changed. All that money that is wasted on election campaigns can be spent on helping out the tax payer and the economy. Maybe we should vote for a dog. Let me know what you think of my two campaign sites http://www.squidoo.com/election_dog and http://www.squidoo.com/bordercollie_election Like your sense of humor!

- Excellent lens, about 100% more entertaining and to the point, than the last televised debate! Actually, this approach would be more democratic than the Electoral College (whatever it is). Thanks and welcome to The Parody and Satire Group.
The Barack Obama Story
Books From Every Point Of View
Hopes and Dreams:The Story of Barack Obama: Revised And Updated
No political figure in recent memory has generated the excitment that surrounds Barack Obama. This forty-six-year-old Senator's message of hope has galvanized a generation of new voters and breathed new life into American politics. Once considered a long shot, his inspiring speeches and disarming candor have made him a frontrunner in the 2008 presidential race.
Hopes and Dreams follows Obama's fascinating story beginning with his difficult childhood and struggles coming to terms with his heritage to his remarkable success in school - he was the first black president of teh Harvard Law Review - and his current desire to become leader of the free world. Along the way, readers will meet his friends and family, discover moments that shaped his life, and learn more about the man and his motivations.
Change We Can Believe In: Barack Obama's Plan to Renew America's Promise
At this defining moment in our history, Americans are hungry for change. After years of failed policies and failed politics from Washington, this is our chance to reclaim the American dream. Barack Obama has proven to be a new kind of leader-one who can bring people together, be honest about the challenges we face, and move this nation forward. Change We Can Believe In outlines his vision for America.
In these pages you will find bold and specific ideas about how to fix our ailing economy and strengthen the middle class, make health care affordable for all, achieve energy independence, and keep America safe in a dangerous world. Change We Can Believe In asks you not just to believe in Barack Obama's ability to bring change to Washington, it asks you to believe in yours.
The Case Against Barack Obama: The Unlikely Rise and Unexamined Agenda of the Media's Favorite Candidate
The first serious negative biography of Senator Barack Obama casts the Democratic nominee as a fake reformer and a real liberal.
The Case Against Barack Obama by National Review's David Freddoso, blasts Obama for failing to take on the Chicago machine, for listening to "radical advisors," and for backing "doctrinaire liberal" causes from teachers unions to abortion rights.
It does not, however, compare him to Paris Hilton, or dwell at length on his religion or race - making the substance of The Case Against Barack Obama sound a bit unfamiliar amid a campaign cacophony of hyperbolic web ads, alleged race cards, and viral smears.
Freddoso says John McCain's campaign and Republicans at large are making the wrong case against the Illinois senator.
"I don't think you beat Obama by saying that he's Paris Hilton," said Freddoso, a reporter for the conservative magazine National Review, referring to McCain's latest advertising campaign. "The more important thing is really to look at is he who he says he is? Is he really this great reformer?"
Freddoso's book, released today by the conservative publishing house Regnery and provided exclusively to Politico by the publisher, occupies a small island in the often-shrill sea of criticism of Obama. As a range of conservatives suggest that Obama is a closet radical, and as McCain's campaign aims to disqualify him from the White House on the grounds of his international fame, Freddoso makes a case that conservatives should look at the presumptive Democratic nominee's record.
His thesis: "It's not that Obama is a bad person. It's just that he's like all the rest of them. Not a reformer. Not a Messiah. Just like all the rest of them in Washington. And just like all the other liberals too."
