American Reunion Soundtrack

The official soundtrack album to this sequel, the eight installment in the "American Pie" series features two tracks from the film's original score by Lyle Workman (Win Win, The 40-Year-Old Virgin) and the movie's songs by various artists including Spice Girls, Boyz II Men, Good Charlotte, Cobra Starship, Stooshe, Pop Levi, The Blue Van, Kopek and Montell Jordan. The album is now available to pre-order on Amazon pending it's release on April 3, 2012. "Laid" by Matt Nathanson from "American Wedding" soundtrack album and "Bump N' Grind" by R. Kelly are featured in the "American Reunion" trailers but are not included in this sequel's soundtrack. The songs are available as singles from Amazon.

The original cast of the 1999 "American Pie" - Jason Biggs, Chris Klein, Tara Reid, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Thomas In Nicholas, Alyson Hannigan, Seann William Scott, Jennifer Coolidge, Mena Suvari, Natasha Lyonne , Shannon Elizabeth, John Cho, Chris Owens, Molly Cheek and Justin Isfeld - return to this sequel. They are joined by new cast members Katrina Bowden and Dania Ramirez. The film also reunites Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg as directors and writers, their second collaboration after "Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay".

In "American Reunion", the characters of the original movie return to East Great Falls, Michigan, for their high-school reunion. In one long-overdue weekend, they discover what has changed, who hasn't and that time and distance can't break the bonds of friendship. The film is based on characters created by Adam Herz.
