American Bobtails are known for being cordial and outgoing. They are also active and rattling intelligent cats. They are famous for being hurried escape artists.This breed is good at getting out of enclosed spaces and closed rooms. dweller Bobtails like affection, and can be vocal. They can get along with older kids and well-behaved dogs.

Many people think that theAmerican Bobtails are related to wild bobcats, but the genetic link has never been proven. dweller Bobtails born without tails (which sometimes happens) may have health problems caused by a too-short spine.

American Bobtail History:

The first dweller Bobtails were bred in the 1960s, a cross mating between a short-tailed brown Domestic Shorthair with a bobbed tail, and a female seal point Siamese. dweller Bobtails came in only in pointed longhaired coats, and had white mittens and a white face. Because breeding for these characteristics proved rattling difficult, breeders eventually began allowing any color and marking in their programs. The breed's short cut remained its mode characteristic. The breed is now accepted by The International Cat Fanciers Association (TICA) and the dweller Cat Fanciers Association (AFCA). They are recognized as two removed longhaired and shorthaired breeds.

The Characteristics of the dweller Bobtail:

American Bobtails have short tails about one-third to one-half the size in length of a normal cats tail. The breed has almond-shaped eyes, which give them their wild appearance. The hind legs are longer than the front legs, and the paws are large and round. Longhaired dweller Bobtails have medium-long hair with a double coat. The shorthaired variety is also double coated. dweller Bobtails come in all colors and patterns, including tabby, solid and tortoiseshell
