I didn't have any problems receiving the card in the mail and it was easy verifying my account information through the phone. I started using my card and everything was great; I received my bill and I paid it on time.

There was one slight problem; I noticed that some places didn't accept American Express. This didn't bother me too much since I always carry a spare Visa credit card with me, but if you plan on using an AMEX card I suggest you carry another card or cash, because there are still some stores that don't accept it.

I hadn't used my American Express card in a few months, and after I did I couldn't remember my password to log into my account and make an online payment.

The only way to reset my password was to call customer service. When I called customer service I had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes until I could speak to a representative. I called around 3 PM EST, so I don't think it was during peak hours.

The representative had a very thick accent and was hard to understand. He had to tell me my password several times letter by letter for me to understand and write it down, but eventually I was able to get my new password and pay my bill online.

I've only called their customer service once so it's hard to judge them on just one occasion, but I'd say their customer service is a little under satisfactory; because I had to wait for my call to be answered and the person I talked was hard to understand.

Despite the fact that their customer service has problems and that the card isn't accepted everywhere, I still really like my American Express credit card and it is one of my favorites. It offers a good reward for a credit card and it has the best APR of all my credit cards.
