Is American Idol helpful to aspiring artists or harmful to the music business?
I must admit I have mixed feelings about American Idol, while I admire the moxie and talent of the aspiring singers ... I wonder about the process and results.
When I see the latest American Idol winner soar to the top of the charts upon releasing their first album and then disappear into obscurity when the hype machine is no longer providing eyes and ears ... I wonder about the whole idea.
