Biography
Adam Lambert
born on January 29, 1982
one of the finalists of the eighth season of American Idol.
Raised in San Diego, California.
He has been active in performing since his childhood.
He was active in theater, choir and jazz band in school.
At age 10, he made his debut as a stage actor, beginning with a role in the San Diego production of You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown.
He's stayed with the California musical theater scene ever since, appearing in local productions of The Ten Commandments and, most recently, the Los Angeles run of Wicked, where he worked as an understudy.

Lambert attended American Idol's auditions in San Francisco, California, where he used skills he accumulated from his theater career to go through.
One of the show's early favorites, he easily made it through to the Top 36, and subsequently to the Top 12;
He was part of the second batch of performers and was overwhelmingly voted into the finals. He became known for his over-the-top stage presence and his solid, if not high, vocals; his performances to date have made some speculate that he is a shoo-in to the finale.

Adam vs. Kris

American Idol's top 2

This week on American Idol, all 3 contestants performed 2 songs each. One was the judges'choice and the other one was their own personal choice.

Paula choose a song for Gokey, Danny and Kara choose a song for Kris and Simon Choose a song for Adam. Simon criticized Kara and Danny's choice for Kris and was happy for choosing One by U2 for Adam.

For their own personal choice, Danny Gokey choose "you are beautiful".
Kris choose "heartless"by Kanye West and he sang it while playing an acoustic guitar! That performance was dope! Adam choose Cry by Aerosmith and he did justice to the song with his great vocals.

It was anybody's game that night. The following day..

Kris was the first one to be saved and over 88 Million votes came in. That left Adam and Danny on the bottom two. Ryan said that the second idol to be saved was only a million votes higher than the Idol to go home that night.

Simon: "Kris, it was your second song that made you where you are now and Adam we've always liked you and it's gonna be a big dingdong next week. That means good."

Ryan: "Thanks for clearing that up."

Next week..who will be the next American Idol? Will it be Adam? or Kris?

It's Motown week on Idol and the 27 year old California guy Adam Lambert sang Tracks of My Tears.

Smokey Robinson was Idol's mentor and he himself was impressed on how Adam delivered his song. At the end of Adam's performance, Robinson stood up and the rest of the audience including judges Paula and Kara gave a standing ovation.

This week, Adam showed everyone his other side. We saw Adam do rock music these past few weeks and this weeks performance came as a surprise.

He had a clean cut look and he had no black nail polish on this time. He was wearing a silver suit that suited his slow but heart warming performance.

Hard to please judge Simon Cowell said that it was the BEST performance of the night while Kara had troubles with counting words. She said that she only has 6 words for Adam yet "one of the best performaces of the night" doesn't equal to six.

Adam has become one of the early favorites of the show. Randy even said that Adam still hit his notes just like what he did in his past performances.

Almost Eliminated

In last weeks Idol elimination, it was a surprise to everybody including the Idol judges that Adam Lambert was a part of the bottom 3. It was more surprising when Chris ws the first one to be saved and left Matt and Adam on the bottom 2.

However, among the 47 Million votes of that night, Lambert was saved and Matt Giraud was eliminated. :(
It was one of the saddest eliminations of this season.

Adam showed some of his moves tonight! He was wearing his flared jeans and was grooving to the tune of his song!

Simon liked Adams performance of play that funkin music.
Danny thought it would be corny at first but was surprised and said Adam's on the star zone. :)
Kara cannot wait to see Adam's performance every week and says that's a big complement :)
Paula stood up and she was dancing while Adam was doing his thing. :)
