- Fort Peck Lake / Dam
Located near Glasgow, off US Highway 20, the 21,026 ft. long Fort Peck Dam holds back Fort Peck Lake the 5th largest man-made lake in the United States. Wide open spaces, great opportunities for camping, fishing and hunting. - Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge
Stretching 150 miles up the Missouri River from Fort Peck Dam, the 1,100,000 acre wildlife refugee offers a variety of prairies, coulees, river bottoms, and badlands. Home to bighorn sheep elk, pronghorn, prairie dog, mule deer, coyote, porcupine as well as over 250 species of birds. - Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument

An outcropping of sandstone rising over 200 feet above the Yellowstone River Valley, home to the only remaining physical evidence of Lewis and Clark's passing visible on their actual route. During his return trip to St. Louis, William Clark of the Lewis and Clark Expedition climbed the Pillar and carved his signature and the date in the sandstone. Interpretive center, boardwalk. Located 25 miles E of Billings off Interstate 90.

- International Peace Garden
Located on the US/Canadian border near Dunseith, North Dakota, the International Peace Garden was dedicated on July 14, 1932 as a lasting sign of peace between the United States and Canada. Today the garden encompasses over 2,300 acres of botanical gardens,reflecting pools, floral displays along with the 120 foot Peace Tower and a Peace Chapel. - North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame
is an interpretive center that explores the history of Native Americans, ranching, rodeo, and the western lifestyle of the plains and Badlands. Located in downtown Medora, it includes a 15,000 sq. ft. center with many displays devoted to the North Dakota cowboy. Voted the 2007 North Dakota Tourist Attraction of the Year. - Theodore Roosevelt National Park
The badlands of the Little Missouri River provide a colorful and scenic backdrop to the park. Established in 1978, the park memorializes the 26th president for his enduring contributions for his efforts in leading the movement to conserve our nation's natural resources. North Unit located near Watford City, South Unit located near Medora.
