Beautiful!
I received my Heat Surge plugged it in and was SO PLEASED with the entire unit. BEAUTIFUL. I have a large home and knew that the unit wasn't intended to heat the entire home so wasn't sure how much it would really heat. I kept it set on low. In the first hour and a half it raised the thermostat by 3 degrees, after 2 and a half hours by 5 degrees still set on low. The temp kept creeping up. I only left it on for an entire 5 hours then shut the heat off and left only the flames running (which makes for beautiful ambiance). My home was comfortable (to me). The unit worked wonderfully, quietly and is truly beautiful! By no means did I get it to heat my entire home but it is doing a really good job of it. I received more than I expected it to be. I am VERY pleased with this unit and everyone who has seen it has been pleasantly surprised of it's looks and the warmth it was producing. I haven't used my central heating since receiving the heat surge at the beginging of Oct. Don't know if this is typical but it's what I've experienced. I LOVE IT!

Awesome! A must buy
We had an ice storm hit our town and it wiped out power for 10 days. The roads were all shut down and there was no way in or out. We had sub-zero temperatures for the entire 10 days. All we had for heat during the traitorous ice storm was this heater. We have an 1800 square foot basement and this little Amish heater kept us warm the entire 10 days. We had it hooked up to a generator and we all stayed perfectly warm and I am proud to own such a remarkable heating machine! I can roll it to any room I need extra heat. This product is reliable. It will not fail you. Great buy for the money. I also love the fact that I have a very nice Amish crafted cherry mantle. I get several compliments on it each time I have people over to my house. Love it!

LOVE IT!!!
I received this as a gift for my basement...which is always cold. It fit in perfectly underneath by built-in entertainment center....and it is beautiful! The cherry finish works perfectly with my decor, and the entire unit looks very rich. You can opt to just showcase the faux fireplace (beautiful!), or turn on the heat if needed...and the unit turns my entire basement into a more comfortable temperature. Great investment!!

- I assume this is an electric heater as one reviewer had it hooked up to a generator. Wonder how much power it uses and how much heat it puts out.
