Shopping with the Amish, especially by mail order is DIFFERENT than with other vendors.Each piece is made by hand, stained and finished by hand. In the event that when you order the piece is built but not finished, expect an additional week. If the piece you order has to be built it can take a month or more. The craftsmen won't wrap the piece if the finish isn't 'cured' because the packing materials will stick to the finish and ruin it.
The craftsmen as a rule ship on Thursdays.
