Pedestal Tables- Sans Legs!
Many people don't enjoy sitting at a table with legs. For those folks, the pedestal is the best option available. Without legs one has more freedom of movement. There are several pedestal style tables. Center pedestals give free movement all around the table top. Mission trestle style pedestals also give free movement, and it is useful to be careful whether the base extends far enough to be like 'legs' and somewhat restrict movement.

Carlisle
This beautiful table has curved shaker legs in a stable base. You can have it 48x48 or 54x54 with 3 leaves, and in either round or square top. You can have this with an oval top (see below) if you prefer. The mission edge is standard. It has levelers and geared extension slides, so it takes only one person to open or close it. Beautiful round table with rounded shaker feet on a turned base. Available 36, 42, 48 or 54 inch round top with 2 leaves. Geared extension slides, roundover edge and levelers are all standard. Painted base option. Oak or Cherry. Double Pedestal
Classic Amish Double Pedestal Table can be built up to 24 feet long (not including leaves)! Rectangular or Oval top with roundover edge, plain feet are standard,claw feet optional. The plain base is standard, fluted spindle base is optional, plain bar rail standard, sheaf or wheat are options. Contact me for options! Double Pedestal Mission
Heavy and strong table with a true mission mortise and tenon double base. Mission edge and levelers, and self-storing leaves(optional). You can have this table in oak, cherry, maple or 1/4 sawn oak. 42x66 or 42x72 with 4 leaves. Ellison Double Pedestal

This amazing table has a secret. A 6" solid inner pedestal to support the center of an expanding table, plus a 12" outer pedestal that splits to support outer ends. This table starts out with a small footprint, but when you need a whopping large table, like at Thanksgiving or Christmas family dinner, this table will take up to 12 leaves!
