For Popcorn Gourmets

Once you've had Amish popcorn, made with Amish popcorn oil and drizzled with Amish butter, well, there is  just NO GOING BACK!

In comparison, all other popcorns just taste stale and flat, in the same way that after you've had homemade noodles, box noodles taste like cardboard.

This is the  most convenient way I could find to bring you great Amish popcorn.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Heritage Popcorn

Not hybrids, not genetically modified. Just good!

Heritage seeds are prized by the Amish, and no wonder, because that where ALL THE FLAVOR is!

Amish 'rainbow' popcorns, with colored kernels have quite a lot of oxidants in them which hybridized corns don't have. Perhaps it is part of what gives it so much flavor.

The Amish grow popcorn as they always have, they raise it organically, and they carefully dry or 'cure' the seeds for a year. The moisture content is very important for a proper 'pop' and yet the Amish don't need to rely on artificial corporate farming curing methods to get it right.

The hulls on this popcorn just aren't an issue. They virtually disappear. There is no need to worry about little ones gagging or choking on hard hulls.

The oxidants also give a really warm and toasty flavor (and smell) in all of these popcorns.

Its JUST DIFFERENT. Its just BETTER!

Shocker! Processed Popcorn Dangerous!

Why should popcorn of any kind be dangerous to anyone???

We're getting far too many chemicals in our food.
Could microwave popcorn be toxic?
Conagra, manufacturer of genetically modified popcorn and fake butter, is facing lawsuits and problems over processed popcorn and employee illnesses.

Lady Finger Popcorn

People remember this popcorn!

Amish Country Lady Finger Popcorn - 6lb.

Amazon Price: $14.95 (as of 11/07/2009)Buy Now

My favorite, and favorite of kids, moms and gourmands everywhere.

This is especially delicious and delicate flavoring, easy to eat for little ones, and doesn't leave hulls stuck in your teeth (or rarely)

If you are making a special popcorn treat, like chocolate drizzled popcorn, try it with Ladyfinger! It will be AWESOME.

Amish Yellow Popcorn

Amish Country Yellow Popcorn in Burlap Sack - 2lb.

Amazon Price: $4.99 (as of 11/07/2009)Buy Now

Even if it seems like a lot, it is so delicious it goes fast.

One of the subtleties of the gourmet crowd, the slight variations in the corniness, sweetness, texture; well, I guess you just have to do your own 'tastings'!

Amish Rainbow Blend

Amish Country Rainbow Blend Popcorn - 6lb.

Amazon Price: $10.79 (as of 11/07/2009)Buy Now

Another one of the really nutritious and tasty popcorns.

I like this for festive occasions, and for popcorn balls made with corn syrup (so you can see the hulls).

Its also cool strung out for garlands!

Purple is Cool!

Amish Country Purple Popcorn - 6lb.

Amazon Price: $10.79 (as of 11/07/2009)Buy Now

Sometimes, I'm just in a purple mood!

These wonderful popcorns get their coloring the same way that Indian corn does, except that these are edible!

You can make a fruit syrup for these popcorn balls, or just drizzle it over, but eating it regularly is great too.

The kids really go crazy over the colored popcorn hulls. If your girls like purple, this will be their favorite!

Baby Yellow

Amish Country Baby Yellow Popcorn - 6lb.

Amazon Price: $10.79 (as of 11/07/2009)Buy Now

I think this is a little crispier, a little chewier, and a little more durable in a popcorn ball!

Really corny flavor, though, and everything you love about the best of the best popcorn!

Midnight!

Amish Country Midnight Blue Popcorn - 2lb.

Amazon Price: $4.99 (as of 11/07/2009)Buy Now

Midnight blue popcorn!

Now, isn't that romantic?

Really healthy and nutritious, loads of oxidants, loads of romance?

Toasty, Crunchy Red!

Amish Country Red Popcorn - 2lb.

Amazon Price: $5.95 (as of 11/07/2009)Buy Now

Like the other healthy, oxidant rich colored popcorns, these are toasty and crunchy.

It really is worthwhile to try all of these popcorns, because, since they are so different and so much better than what you've BEEN getting, you'll discover a really satisfying experience!

You also need some REALLY GOOD Amish Butter!

For some reason, perhaps the way they raise and feed their cows, Amish butter has a richer and more buttery flavor. You don't need as much to get the flavor, and it is SO GOOD!

Organic Sea Salts: Season Healthfully!

The Amish don't deal with sea salt, but its wonderful!

One of the best kept secrets on the planet is how delicious genuine sea salts are!

I use them to season my Amish popcorn, and it is fabulous!

I love how those bags of multi-colored corn kernels look. They'd make great additions to gift baskets. Me, I've been eating microwave popcorn so long, I don't even know what "real" popcorn tastes like anymore.
