An Old Fashioned Frugality
In the early days of America, the pioneers and families that took their chances out in the deep woods and prairies, away from the rest of civilization, had to incredibly frugal with anything they had, just to survive. Quilting is an art form that came from this frugality. Cloth was not cheap and made on high tech computerized machines, but often hand woven or on old non-mechanized looms.
Quilting was an excellent way to save and re use even the smallest scraps of used, old fabric, while providing warmth and cover.
This lense is being built, and it needs a lot of work. I appreciate your patience while I finish my research and gather materials to make an interesting and useful lense for you.
