- Do you have an Amish recipe for homemade yogurt from fresh cow's milk? Thank you.

- They would make it the same way you would make it with 'regular' milk. Just put some in a bowl, cover with a cloth, and shortly you'd have yogurt.

- We went to an Amish restaurant somewhere near Lancaster PA, I can't remember the name of it. It was a great experience! The only thing is that it was buffet style with a group of strangers and someone walked out without leaving enough money! You pay the bill as a whole table, so that made it awkward.
These recipes look incredible, my kind of stuff. I never realized until reading your lens that this might be my favorite type of food!

- Great stuff, here, Margaret! Lots of good down home recipes...and most of them look easy enough for even me to tackle. I believe there are some Amish families with my last name...Wuthrich. My folks arrived from Switzerland about 17 years before I was born. No one in my family is Amish...but we are Swiss through and through.

- When I lived in Ohio, we visited the Amish often during our travels. I remember the apple butter and cheese my parents would buy. Isn't it amazing that your Amish Recipes would be such a popular page -- it's great to showcase different recipes such as those of the Amish. Margaret, you have been such an amazing force here on Squidoo. It's been a pleasure to know you.

Mmmmm.
