Enjoy and Live Well.
This story is about friends games, and time with a console.
Part of the story is a tragedy the other portion is a comedy.
The story still continues with every breathe one takes when fighting for another living being.
Doing more than you have to, and really caring.
I hope you find your way to really care and show you share.
Enjoy and live well.

Friends Till The End.
My friend Anthony and I used to be great friends, we played in and on summer and winter days.
He lived next door to my grand parents house.
We played until it was night many nights.
One day Anthony received an Atari 2600.
I remember how much fun we had playing the days away with joust, dig dug, burger time.
Who knew that it would end too soon.

The Days March On.
Anthony is slightly younger than me, and the bad news came.
It was discovered that Anthony had a brain tumour.
The discovery hurt.
Pain would drag on for sometime.

Little Big Successes.
While my friend was slowly fading he would not give up.
He would even have a few victories.
Anthony was able to meet the lions through the make a wish foundation which was an incredible boon for him.
To his achievements he would also construct a few lego puzzles, and pieces all by him self.
For a seven year old what a great accomplishment.

The End The Beginning
So my friend would pass away at the age of seven, may he rest in peace.
His end was only the beginning in some ways though because his love and memory would exist in the hearts and minds of those who loved him.
Work would be done with this memory and knowing.
That we push on for them, and try to achieve more because they could not so we must.
In that I leave you, to contemplate and meditate.

A note
You are my friend and I still love you and you walk with me in my life to this day.

- A very moving story, and you're right--your friend will live on as long as you keep his memory alive. When we lose a loved one, the best we can do is to cherish our memories of that person, and do our best to honor his/her memory with the things we do. Nice work on this lens.

- I dedicated to him an art project called the Happy Coffin. It is featured in the lens with the same name. My loved one died suddenly and was put in an ugly coffin while I was still in shock. Well, now I have my own Happy Coffin all nice and my pair of favorite red stilettos on it. Keep well.

- My mom passed away five years before my granddaughter was born. My daughter and I were both saddened by the thought that she never saw her great-granddaughter. However, as she got older my granddaughter has always talked about "Grandma M." as if she knew her. The first time she saw a picture of Mom, she knew it was Grandma M. without being told. On several occasions when my daughter and granddaughter and I have been together, my little granddaughter has said "Grandma M. is here." I never was a great believer in that sort of thing, but it makes you wonder....
