First, Lyle Alzado did not die from using anabolic steroids, and his own doctor said that anabolic steroids had NOTHING to do with Lyle Alzados' death. In fact, there is zero (0) scientific evidence that steroids cause brain cancer or any other cancers for that matter. Seccond, Lyle Alzado was the public case that brought the first anti-steroid act into congress, and passed anti-steroid legislature making anabolic steroids illegal. DEA sent a letter to congress in the early 90s saying that making anabolic steroids illegal was a big mistake!

Present day steroid use in sports is mainly concentrated around Baseball (MLB), the biggest steroid case in baseball is of course Barry Bonds. Barry Bonds was accused of using steroids to achieve the 70+ home run record and beat many historical baseball start's records. However, Barry Bonds didn't do anything wrong, as he used anabolic steroids when steroids were perfectly legal to use in Major League Baseball (MLB).
