hike and retreat around sacred ancient sites
Where I live around southern Co. Sligo and into western Co. Roscommon in Ireland there is a remarkable collection of 3000 to 6000 year old megalithic circles, passage cairns, ancient mounds, sacred wells, monastic sites, fairy rings, wooden covens, along with our wonderful variety of trees, flora, views and wildlife.
At some viewpoints, on a clear day, visitors enjoy a view of up to 18 Irish counties.
Here, I am creating a portal to introduce you these sacred places of wonder through discoveries, stories, videos, photographs and even some music.
I hope you will enjoy this and may even consider visiting and staying in our area for a few days as part of your visit to Ireland, or even a complete vacation here. You can be here and do plenty without the expense of a car.
If you live in Ireland do consider being here for a few days retreat.
If you live in Europe there are now inexpensive flights from many airports to our local Knock airport, and you do not need to rent a car to cause you extra expense.
