Hello and welcome to Ancient Wonderland.

My name is Elias and I hope you enjoy your visit. Let me tell you a little about myself.

I was born in Adelaide, South Australia and have spent most of my life there. Growing up in a family with Greek traditions and culture, it was only a matter of time before I came across the history of Ancient Greece, which in turn led me to learn about other ancient civilizations such as Persia, Egypt and Ancient China.

I therefore have a keen interest on not only history itself, but also on the art created through the ages representing some of histories finest and of course not so finest moments.

Part of the reason I started this website was to try to provide reproductions of some of the most famous pieces of art created throughout history, currently being showcased at various museums around the globe, to the general public. It has grown from that initial idea in to trying to also provide people with an opportunity to find something with a historically unique flavour to display in their home, garden and office.

At the same time I hope to provide a "window" if you like, in to the fascinating world of ancient and modern history to whoever wishes to know.
