Anderson Valley Wineries - Great wine country! Heading down from Canada, south of Mendocino on Hwy 101 towards Napa and Sonoma, I almost missed it. We stopped in at a 3 winery tasting store and she said "You like wines and you're burning through the Anderson Valley? Head Back! Stay Overnight and Camp here!" Great Advice!  Heard of Cristal Champagne? Its called Roederer in the US.  Heard Of Duckhorn Merlot? Their Pinot Noir is called Golden Eye. Heard Of Blue Mountain Wines in BC? (A winery that doesn't market through the liquor board, usually found at only the best restaurants in BC) The California equivalent, with Gold Medals to prove it, is Navarro Wineries.  All worth a stop, as is the Anderson Valley Campground, to stay overnight.
