Andrea Palladio Venitian Architect
Andrea Palladio, Venitian Architect was born 500 years ago in Padua in what is now Italy. Bringing Roman architecture up to date with classical symmetrical geometry. He had a major influence on British architects from the 18th Century onwards. He recorded his design theories in "The Four Books" still in print today. A major exhibition was held in 2009 at The Royal Academy in London, details are still available, Andrea Palladio: His Life and Legacy.
