A Tribute to Andy Stanley

Hey there!

This lens is a tribute to Andy Stanley, a person who has made a sigificant difference in my life and in the lives of many others.

Andy Stanley is the Lead Pastor of North Point Community Church in Atlanta, Georgia. North Point has two other newly planted sister churches, Buckhead Church and Browns Bridge Community Church. He's been a very active writer and teacher to help people be Christ Followers and to learn to be better leaders.

Andy has been extremely helpful to me as a leader. Even though I do not work for a church, his teachings and books have amazing content to help stretch leaders to learn, grow and lead more effectively to make change.

This lens is part of July's Squidoo Charity Contest with all proceeds benefiting A Day of Hope.

Who is Andy Stanley?

Andy Stanley is a pastor, communicator, and the founder of North Point Ministries (NPM). Launched in 1995, North Point Ministries is now one of the fastest growing and most influential Christian organizations in America.

Each Sunday, over 20,000 adults attend services at one of NPM's three campuses in the Atlanta area: North Point Community Church, Browns Bridge Community Church, and Buckhead Church. In addition, NPM has helped plant 14 strategic partner churches throughout the United States and is developing strategic partnerships with ministries in 13 countries.

Andy is also a best-selling author, and his titles include Making Vision Stick, Communicating for a Change, Visioneering, and The Next Generation Leader. He and his wife, Sandra, live in Alpharetta, Georgia with their three children.

I've read The Best Question Ever, Next Generation Leader, & Fields of Gold. Andy does an incredible job of clearly communicating things in a practical way. I've also heard him give some amazing talks about politics and organizational leadership.

Andy Stanley ministry books

I personally haven't read any of these books yet, but they are an excellent resource for people working in the ministry. Whether you're a full-time pastor, an administrative staff person, elder, or a volunteer at your church, these books can help you learn and grow in the way that you operate ministry and follow God.
