Introduction

Ok, say you create something, a product, that you want to sell to others to sell to others. It might be something that you have handcrafted or designed. Where do you find those people? How do you get the word out?

Websites, yes. Advertising,yes. Direct Mail, yes. Trying to visit each and every establishment, probably no.

A place where oodles of retail buyers can find you is a trade show. Wholesale tradeshows to be more specific. They are held all over the country, several times throughout the year. You just need to know where to look. . .

George Little Management: Based out of NY, GLM handles trade shows all over.
Surtex, National Stationery Show, International Contemporary Furniture Fair, New York Gift Show, California Gift Show are just a few.

Merchandise Mart: Merchandise handles several poperties and manages many trade show too. Chicago, New York, and High Point, NC. The also manage industry specific shows such as Neo-Con.
Atlanta- AmericasMart: Atlanta hosts several trade, apparel, gift shows throughout the year. Some of the showrooms are also open each day.
Dallas Market Center: Trade shows in Dallas.
Las Vegas- World Market Center: Las Vegas is the new kid on the block. World Market Center has recently open and new areas are under construction.

ArtExpo, Decor Expo, Art Business News, Decor Magazine: I am including this link as most people probably found this lens through an art link.

Decor Expo is a trade show, primarily picture framers. Decor Magazine is their magazine.
ArtExpo and ArtMiami are tradeshows held in NYC and Miami that are primarily focus on galleries. ArtExpo is adding a Las Vegas venue in Sept 07. They are also open to the public on certain days. Art Business News is the magazine.
Overnight Prints: You need business cards, postcards or catalogs to hand out at these shows. Here's a new favorite. . .

In my opinion, you should get your banner stands done professionally. It really makes the difference and your target consumer will notice.

Advertising with your own hands is much fruitful as you know your wholesale business or any business better than any Advertising agency.
