Born to Be Angelic?

Ranked #3,042 in Squidoo Community, #247,375 overall

Well, Perhaps. This Is My First Official Date!

I woke up on Valentine's Day to discover that I was Angelized over night! I have wanted this for a long time, but never thought it possible. Even when the invitation to apply came, I didn't think I would get it. What a nice surprise.

My 'neighborhood' is health, but I am already chomping at the bit to travel. Oh, well, I want to be a good angel, especially at the beginning. If you see any lenses that you really liked, let me know!

Want a Date With an Angel?

I love getting angel blessings, it just leaves a warm and fuzzy feeling and make me want to be nice and earn the blessing.

But sometimes I wonder why. Why this one and why now.

I will evolve my standards for why I bless a lens, but I think my current criteria will still be the center of it. So, if you are interested, want to call my attention to one of yours or someone else's, here you go.

1. I am in the Health (and related topics) neighborhood and that is where I am expected to do most of my work. I can travel occasionally, so if you find something you think I will really love, let me know.

2. I lean towards lenses that teach things. Be entertaining, but teach us something about health, politics, charity, etc.

3. I like them to have lots of opportunity for interaction; quizzes, polls, comments, the more the better, well, but there has to be some content also to be blessed.

4. It has to be personal. I like at least one module where you tell us what the subject means to you personally. It could be a story from your childhood, about someone you know, why this subject interests you, something. It could also be something that you have clearly had some experience with, just make sure that it tells us about you also. That is a deal breaker; no personal content and i might like it, but I won't bless it.

I will say that I I was a little promiscuous today. My angelhood is a new toy and they wanted us to use it a lot, but I still passed and many.

Help Me Decide

As you can see, part of my Angel Blessing Criteria is that a lens must have something personal in it. Most, if no all of mine do. I talk about my personal experience with something, or why I personally wanted to write about this.

To me that is a huge part of what makes Squidoo wonderful and many lenses matter.

But, as I do my duty as a Squid Angel, I am finding great lenses with not even a hint of the personal. I know, because when I really like one, I look and look to see if maybe I missed something.

So I am asking you, should I change this criteria? Please let me know why you think what you think.
