Angel Wings Tattoos Back Tattoos & More

I think more than anything it is important to think about where you want your angel wings to be placed on your body and the design that relates to that. While some people have small angel wings tattoos most will have larger ones covering most if not all of their back, or at least the upper half of their back. With such a large tattoo on such a specific space it is important to think about how that design will fit into that space and how important it is to you that your wings are authentic in look or in where the wings attach to your body as this will determine where the design will flow, up or down, spread out or closed.

Full size wings placed where angels wings would be put look great folded and flowing over the back. Wings that go up need a bit more thought as they will need to be either smaller, designed differently or placed differently. Wings that go out may go all the way down the arms, but would need to be narrow, so often they are reduced in size.

These are great designs as you can have them going up and spread yet because most of the wing is chunky and in the middle they will fit quite nicely and you can choose to have them slightly larger and the tips just extending onto the arm.
