Angel Investing Introduction

Angel Investing is a form of raising capital for a business. The lending is usually done by individuals or groups of individuals (Angel Networks). It fills a need for funding that is generally more what friends and family members can invest in a company, but less than that of Venture Capitalists.

The "Angel" will provide seed money to help the company get going or money to help the company grow once it is established.

Angel Investors are usually individuals that have owned their own business or have helped run a company. In addition to money, many times they provide guidance and advice on helping the company grow.

A typical Angel deal is between $50,000 - $300,000, but can be more or less depending on the business and how many investors are investing in the deal.
