This book seemed very accessible to me when I first got it and still does. The authors seem like ordinary people who happened upon angel communication. Their method for getting started is very simple. I was amazed at the things I was writing in my journal from the beginning, even though there's a part of me that will always be skeptical.

Messengers of Light: The Angels' Guide to Spiritual Growth

This book got me through some challenging times in my life. The author encourages us to stay positive and laugh as much as possible in order to attract angels. There are many fun, light-hearted, exercises to do to start working with angels, as well as the author's own take on different types of angels. It has always made me feel good to pick it up and read even just a page or two. I also own "Guardians of Hope", which focuses more on the self-help aspects of working with angels, and "Creating With the Angels", which focuses on creativity.

Ask Your Angels

I've had this book in my library for a long time but am just now getting to the point where I can get into it. There is a strong focus on meditating in order to be a clear channel, and I have resisted doing that. I'd rather just jump in. But, after looking at it while making this lens, I can see that there are a lot of useful exercises and tools in the latter part of the book. This one would appeal to those a little farther out on the new age spectrum of spirituality.

I clearly can't get enough of this stuff! LOL I just added this book to my collection in the last six months. Like AngelSpeake, it's a bit more practical and simplified. And just plain fun to read.

I've had this book for a couple of years, having gotten it by "accident" from a book club. I've been reading it now as research for this lens and feel like it's the most useful of them all for me right now.

Despite the glamorous background of the psychic who wrote the book, he advocates taking a lot of the glamor out of angel communication, and bringing it back-down-to-earth. He does have a method to use, that he describes in detail, but he uses more of a storytelling format than a how-to format in his writing.

Interview with an Angel

The most interesting part of this book, to me, is the lengthy introduction about channeling throughout history. The actual interview with the angel is very reminiscent of the "Conversation With God" books, at least to me.

"Opening to Channel" was one of the first, if not THE first, book widely available about channeling. I've had it for years and I still get the "warm fuzzies" when reading any books by "Oren" and "Daben". Doesn't matter whether I'm in a state of scepticism or not - the vibration is high.

Universal Cards: Angelically Inspired

I've had these cards for a decade, but have only used them rarely. They consist of an extensive set of word cards and a book with explanations. I have found that the explanations make the overall reading more fuzzy than clear, for me, but maybe I'm just not evolved enough yet to get the most use out of them. ;-) The meanings are more spiritual and less practical. However, if you're reading this and they seem to call for you, they must be what you need right now.
