Angels in the ER

Robert Lesslie, MD has written a captivating book about his experience in the Emergency Room, the patients, the staff and the life lessons he has learned there! His stories will make you laugh a little, weep a little, and keep turning pages until you are done!

Amazon.com says "Twenty-five years in the ER could become a resume for despair, but for Dr. Robert D. Lesslie it's a foundation for inspiring tales of angels who are friends, nurses, doctors, patients, strangers, or those unseen but clearly present "others" in the midst of trial.

For anyone who enjoys stories of the miraculous, this gathering is a reminder that hope turns emergencies into opportunities and each trial into a demonstration of God's grace.

My favorite quotes from Angels in the ER

"I have come to understand that there are things in this world, in this life, that don't fit that model. There are things that happen, things that are absolutely real that you can't put in a test tube, or see, or feel with your hands. But you know they are real and they are true."

Debbie Neal says:

i got the book as a Christmas present last year from one of my daughters and just finished it today. i can barely tear myself away to read these stories. It is a wonderful book. It is very inspirational.
I know a real "angel" to,a real E.R. doctor who as taken care of me three times now in the last year and the doctor i see here in Lexington,Ky. at Good Samaritan Hospital is just like Dr. Lesslie. Very kind, very concerned about every patient he cares for."Angels in the ER" is a book i recommend to all.
I will quote a saying made by a character in the movie, "Fried Green Tomatoes" which echoes what Dr. Lesslie is saying. "There are angels on this earth masquerading as people." i could not hardly put this book down, from the very first page i just kept reading an d it was hard to stop.

Alejandro Silva says:

I did not enjoy this book. I found it hard to put down because I kept thinking this book has got to get better. Better came at small spread apart doses that did little to lift my spirit back up from were it had gotten crushed by the most of the stories which I did not find inspirational or at all up lifting. I was expecting a lot more from this book writen by a medical doctor with such an extensive and lengthy carrer in the ER department.
