Proofs - Can't Live With Them, Can't Live Without Them
The majority of students end up dreading the very idea of having to perform a proof. However, proofs are the foundation of higher level mathematical thinking and problem solving. They are an essential part of a high school curriculum. Thus it is of the utmost importance to provide every available resource to changing the attitude students have towards proofs. The only way I know how to do that is to make them better at it! This lens contains multiple examples of proofs through videos I have created. I have tried to make them as accessible as possible. If you have any classic proofs you think I should add then please let me know in the comments.

Angle Proof Example #1
In this proof you are asked to prove two lines parallel. Remember, to prove two lines parallel then you need to either show two corresponding angles, two alternate interior angles or two alternate exterior angles congruent. The other option is to show that to same-side interior angles are supplementary.
Angle Proof Example #2
In this proof you are also asked to prove to lines are parallel. Note: In this example you are going to use the Congruent Supplements Theorem. Below the video of this example you can see a proof of the Congruent Supplements Theorem.
Angle Proof Example #3
Another example of how to use angles to prove lines parallel.
Angle Proof Example #4
In this example you see the connection between parallel lines, angle theorems and quadrilaterals.
Geometry Books
There are many great books about Geometry on Amazon. The MacDougal LIttel book is the best IMO.
Angle Proof Example #5
In this proof you will show that two sides of a quadrilateral are parallel if there are 2 sets of consecutive congruent angles.
Angle Proof Example #6
In this video you will see how to prove to lines parallel.
Angle Proof Example #7
In this example you will learn how to look at angle bisectors in a triangle and how they relate to parallel lines.
Angle Proof Examples #8
This example also looks at angle bisectors and parallel lines in a triangle.
