Do Animals have the right to self defense?

When a wild animal attacks a human is it a malicious act or is it self defense..I think for the most part it is self defense..

We humans go into the wood, forrests and pretty much anywhere we want to go. Without thought of the animals that live there. We have decided that we are the superior animal and that we have the right to go where we want to. Then we come across a wild animal, such as a bear or cougar. We become frightened, and start to make noise, wave our arms, throw  rocks and sticks to scare the animal..

Now the animal becomes defensive, and takes a stand. He needs to protect his territory. She needs to protect her cubs. So the human is attacked. mauled and even killed.  Whose fault is it? The animals because he/she is just doing what is instinctual. or the human because they  have invaded the animals ever decreasing space.

Two, Three or more animals will now die until the offending animal is found. Are these animals put on trial? or just killed?  No there is no trial for the innocent ones, or the guilty  for that matter.

If someone comes into your home and threatens you do you not have the right to self defense.. Why can't animals have the same right?

Why Animals Attack Humans

In most cases, attacks by wild animals on humans stem from ignorance and intrusion on the part of the humans, rather than uncalled for agression on the part of the animal.

Being safe can be as simple as paying attention and by not making agressive movements towards the animal.
Gerhardt: Sometimes it's perplexing to fathom gall of the wild
readily admit I'm an animal apologist. Not much furry or feathered creatures do that I can't rationalize and forgive. Animals will be animals, you know.

But three incidents in the past five months were important enough to make headlines, and I have no explanation for any of them except to say:
Avoiding Bear Attacks.
America's national parks are among the best places in the world to view wildlife, and bears are among the biggest draws for visitors. Thousands of visitors travel each year to parks such as Yellowstone, Glacier, Katmai, and more in the hopes of seeing a bear.
