This is the book I am using for my animal studies. It is not a must have to do the studies, but it is very helpful to have. The book is very inexpensive and filled with great pictures and lots of information for younger children. I feel my son is learning a lot from it.

    Have seen an ermine in white phase only once, in Colorado. Really blended in with the snow.

    The ermine is one curious critter -- you see that picture of the ermine sitting up? Well, by gosh by golly, that is precisely how our Boots the cat looks these days. She started sitting up like that about a month or so ago.
