Appearing in the theatrical remake, 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance, Mari is the mysterious pilot of the Provisional Evangelion Unit-05.

Coyly posed peeking over her shoulder with a cute grin, Mari kneels in her distinctive pink plug suit. The vividly colored outfit is ultra-tight and hugs every curve of her body. This feminine young pilot can be displayed in two ways: with or without her unique removable red glasses. Mari rests with one hand on a miniature rock-like bust of the Beast Mode EVA Unit-02. The PVC figure stands approximately 12" tall and is sculpted to capture every detail of the character, right down to her signature glasses and her pink plug-suit.

She stands 12'' tall and comes with a display stand and extra hands. None the less awsome. Not recommended as a toy for young kids, this is more of a display figure. She is awesome. The perfect gift-- or, if you like the anime and the movie, then this is for you!

The completed figure is bigger than in other EVA kits that has been released to date. The basic structure is also completely different from other existing kits. An inner, posable skeleton of heavy-duty, semi-hard plastic is covered by soft, black, rubber covers that conceal the inner frame at the "gaps" in the EVA's armor at joints, on the abdomen and other places. This rubber suit is then covered in turn by the usual outer plastic panels. This structure, the designers say, give it a durability and poseability well beyond what you are used to seeing.

Also, this kit's shoulder panels open (both sides) for weapon storage, and a plug-in power pack (takes 2 AAA batteries) lights up the EVA logos on its shoulders. Five sets of hands are included, as are the Pallet Gun, Progressive Knife, Two swords (long & short) with scabbards, the inner Eva head and a red metallic-plated "core."

A benchmark series in the history of anime, Hideaki Anno's Neon Genesis Evangelion is one of the most widely discussed in anime. Whilt it's not the first series to combine mecha (futuristic machines, especially robots) with theology and a character-driven story, it does so exceptionally well.

The designs of the robots by Ikuto Yamashita are strikingly original; the questions raised about the future of the human race stimulate viewers' imaginations and the characters show a depth of personality rare in anime. The story is set in 2015, 15 years after a cataclysmic explosion in Antarctica that caused the ice cap to melt, killing a large portion of the Earth's population.

This really is one of the anime series that must be seen. You will not be disappointed.
