Anjum Anand Makes Chicken Korma
Anjum makes a healthier more traditional Indian chicken korma because she doesnt use lots of cream or sugar into her food. Marinating the chicken first for a few hours helps to flavour the chicken.
She makes her garam masala from scratch from whole spices before adding onions, green chillies and marinated chicken and cooking the korma.
The list of ingredients for this creamy dish are given at the end of the video.
Spinach And Lentil Curry By Anjum Anand
I often make a Mixed Lentil Curry to which I sometimes add cooked spinach, it is generally a bit thicker than the one made here but Anjums is just as good.
Try Anjums Anands recipe though, it is a simple, healthy vegetarian meal which is full of taste and protein and is an ideal dish for lunch or supper.
Anjum's New Indian
This is the third Indian cookery book from Anjum Anand and it is every bit as good as the ones before it!
Delicious Magazine, 1st September 2008
"Take a cuisine that's the nations favourite, an easy-on-the-eye cook whose debut TV series was a big hit, and light recipes aimed at today's busy cooks (think Goan prawn cake and steamed spinanch and rice dumplings). The result is a no-brainer- success!"
Olive Magazine, 1st September 2008
"Recipes include classics such as Kashmiri chicken and rogan josh as well as hybrid recipes such as Indian shepherd's pie and battered Amritsari sole. As the title suggests, they are simple to make and once you have got the basic spice cupboard, you wont have trouble with the shopping either."

North Indian Fish Curry
The fish used in this curry is just any firm fleshed white fish cooked in spices and tomatoes. Once the sauce is made it is literally only a matter of minutes to cook the fish so if you need to you could make the sauce and come back to cook the fish in it when you are ready to eat.
I have tried this and it tastes great! Serve it with either boiled basmati rice or Roti.
Indian Food Made Easy By Anjum Anand
Amazon Says
One of the reasons for the great success of the television series Indian Food Made Easy is Anjum Anand's clear and straightforward presentation, rendering these recipes manageable (or least convincing us that they are within our own particular range). There is also a commendable avoidance of gimmicks -- particularly welcome in an era when TV chefs feel obliged to adopt unusual or eccentric personae to grab attention. And it's particularly pleasing to note that all of these qualities are in evidence in this book of the series: straightforward, concise recipes (illustrated only with tempting pictures of the food itself, rather than the presenter striking various telegenic poses -- she is to be seen on the cover only, admittedly looking Nigella Lawson-like). And given that Indian food is noted more for its delicious taste than its healthy properties, Anjum Anand takes on the negative reputation that the cuisine has in this regard, and comes up with alternatives to the standard high-fat ingredients (that's not to say that she doesn't unashamedly tackle such things where necessary -- taste is definitely the overriding consideration in this book). And with such recipes as Mangalorean chicken (with its mouth-watering combination of coconut, coriander and large fat red chillies) and wild mushroom and pilaff -- all presented in the most accessible and uncomplicated fashion -- this book is likely to accelerate the already considerable acceptance of Indian cookery for non-Indian aspirants. --Barry Forshaw
Anjum Anand's Lamb and Yoghurt Curry
Anjum makes Himalayan lamb curry with yoghurt, different in that it contains no onions or garlic, just wonderful lamb, yoghurt and spices to bring out the flavour of the curry.
This is fantastic served with just plain boiled rice.

Its a great book and probably a must for anybody who loves Indian food but wants to make healthy Indian food.
Anjum Anands Bengali Prawns
Anjum Anand cooks Bengali Prawns in Mild Coconut Gravy
This is a delicious creamy prawn curry which originates from Malaysia. Anjum makes her curry paste and garam masala from scratch before cooking and adding pricked chillies, spices sugar and coconut milk. The prawns are added and this aromatic dish is ready in minutes!
Pricking the chillies and cooking them whole in the dish means that the heat from them won't be overpowering. You could of course add some chopped chilli if you like more heat, but try it this way first, it is really good.
Anjum Anand Cooks Tandoori Monkfish
I love monkfish, its such a meaty fish and holds its shape and takes a marinade well.
This dish is perfect as a light lunch or supper, Anjum makes the tandoori marinade and covers with the mix to marinade the fish for a couple of hours. Chunks of the monkfish are put on skewers like kebabs and put in the oven and serves them with a lightly dressed salad.
