An amazingly talented superstar who has won the Golden Globe, Academy, & Emmy Awards -- That is Ann-Margret!

Ann-Margret is truly an amazing all-around superstar! A Swedish superstar.  She has twice been nominated for an Academy Award, won five Golden Globe Awards, and received five Emmy nominations.

She was born in Sweden Ann-Margret Olsson and came to the United States at the age of 5.  In the 1960s, she was described as a "sex kitten" along with the blonde Joey Heatherton.

In the fast-paced sixties, she soon was known simply as Ann-Margret, dropping her last name of Olsson.  And, not so simply, she also was gaining recognition as a "superstar sex symbol."

What's to love about Ann-Margret

Ann-Margret is the consummate performer who had been referred to as the "female Elvis." Beautiful, intelligent, and talented, she has managed to survive the fast-paced 1960s, to have a career that is active even today!

For those of you who are not familiar with Ann-Margret's early career, please do check out some of her earlier performances.

In August 2007, she began shooting in a new film, The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond. Imagine this, she plays the part of a spinster aunt who controls her family's fortune, until she loses a diamond.

Ann-Margret Olsson was born in Sweden but immigrated to the U. S. when she was very young. Her famous romance with Elvis Presley notwithstanding, she is an extraordinarily talented actress, having received two Oscar nominations (for "Carnal Knowledge" and "Tommy"). In 1972 a devastating accident in Vegas almost ended her career, but she came back like a champ.
